Chimney Cleaning, Inspection & Repair

Creosote doesn’t announce itself. A chimney fire does.

Every wood-burning fireplace builds up creosote — a flammable tar that causes chimney fires. Every chimney, gas or wood, also takes weather damage at the crown, cap and flashing that leads to leaks and expensive interior repairs. Our technicians sweep, run a camera inspection, and show you exactly what they see before recommending any repair.

FAQ

Chimney Services: questions we hear most

How often should a chimney be swept?

The NFPA recommends an annual inspection for every chimney, and sweeping whenever 1/8" or more of creosote is present — about once a season for regular users.

Do gas fireplaces need service?

Yes. Gas flues collect debris and animal nests, and the cap, crown and flashing wear out the same way. An annual inspection is still recommended.

Will it make a mess?

No. We seal the fireplace opening and run HEPA vacuums throughout the sweep.
